Are you a college student who wants to be a change-maker? A natural leader who wants to help India become both more prosperous and more inclusive?

Well, Village Square Youth Hub is the place for you. We are helping young urban Indians, bursting with zeal and enthusiasm, connect with rural India – to make sure no one is left behind – as India marches forward.

Youth Hub, which is creating opportunities to enable ideas for change to take root, is thrilled to launch its Campus Ambassador program. And we want you to be part of it!

What’s in it for you to become a Village Square Campus Ambassador?

What would be your responsibilities as a Village Square Campus Ambassador?

  • Be an official representative of Village Square in your college.
  • Creatively promote Village Square initiatives, events, fundraisers and campaigns among peers and faculty via relevant social media channels and in-person marketing.
  • Become the voice of Village Square on your campus and mobilize campus students and faculty to participate in Village Square’s activities and campaigns.
  • Act as the point of contact for interested students and faculty. 
  • Lead a movement that changes the way your peers think about rural India.

Village Square Campus Ambassador: What is the selection criteria?

  • Students in undergraduate or graduate studies in any field. Students in junior college (11th and 12th) may also apply. 
  • Students should have an active social media presence across platforms.
  • Candidates should be well networked on campus with students, campus organizations, student clubs and faculty groups.
  • They should also be self-motivated and driven.

*Candidates are selected on a rolling basis.

What is the structure and time commitment?

  • Three months to one year engagement
  • 15-20 hours a month
  • Meetings once every two weeks

What are the activities for the Village Square Campus Ambassadors?

  • Organize events, debates, quizzes and contests in your college with support from Village Square. 
  • Enroll more people to take part in activities and conduct outreach initiatives.
  • Promote Village Square content among your networks to increase visibility of stories from rural India.
  • Connect students interested in rural aspects for personal/academic projects with Village Square.
  • Organize events on campus to start conversation on social impact with Village Square support. 
  • Provide support to students for fellowships and Village Square internships.
