Saathi Ventures announces award for stories of micro-entrepreneurs

More than half of India's population is engaged in entrepreneurship, especially micro-entrepreneurship. To celebrate India’s massive micro-entrepreneurial economy, Saathi Ventures is conducting a micro-entrepreneurship storytelling challenge.

“The idea behind Udyami Saathi Challenge is to bring out the human stories behind numbers. To understand what it is like to build and expand a micro enterprise. The incredible resilience they have shown post COVID to rise up once again. We forget to celebrate micro-entrepreneurs, but they too are frontline workers” said Aishwarya Chordiya of Saathi Ventures during an insta-live session with Village Square.

Through Udhyami Saathi Challenge powered by SIDBI, Saathi Ventures wishes to acknowledge the contribution micro-entrepreneurs make to our everyday lives. “Right from the time we wake up; the person who brings us milk in the morning to every service provider we meet throughout the day – ‘Udhyamees’ make our life functional; they are the backbone of our economy” said Aishwarya.
